Good night though. At some point, someone whipped out the cigars, and despite not having had one in a few eons, at the time it seemed appropriate, somehow. And from there on out, everything was gravy…
Another note to self. Roadchef services seem to be better than Welcome Break. Anyone with an opinion on that ? The free wifi totally pushes it in Roadchefs direction for me.
I took myself off to the Bluecat Cafe in Stockport (lovely night, lovely people) the following evening, before shooting back across to Holyhead to catch a 02:30am ferry. Stopped for random security check at terminal. Novel. Felt a little like I was in school again and hadn’t bothered doing my homework ! Lovely lady doing the check seemed a bit bemused with the ‘BC’ logo on the amp case. It seemed to make her think she didn’t have to get me to haul it out and open it up though.
