I think I’ve possibly driven more in the last three days than I ever have before – good practice probably ! Back home now, having had a nice brekkie, and just realised that I took not a single photo the whole trip to London – very slack of me.
Anyways. Wednesday, hopped on a ferry to Holyhead in Wales, drove to London through Snowdonia. Spectacular. Thought I was driving through an Alan Lee painting, so I did.
This is apparently the wrong way to go to London. Very picturesque though. It’s supposed to be quicker going almost to Manchester and then south through Birmingham, so maybe I’ll try that next time. Mind you, Birmingham seems to be synonymous with traffic congestion, but I digress…
Did a song for Balcony TV UK on Wednesday night. Apparently it’ll go up on the web sometime this side of Christmas, I’ll keep y’all posted. They run this on the Balcony of Yumchaa in Camden. Yumchaa is a tea shop, which was fairly convenient as it was bloody cold at the time, and Sean, the owner, recommended something good for the throat. Worked a treat. Knows his tea, Sean does. I highly recommend.
Thursday was swallowed by a bit of exploring and doing a gig in the Irish Centre in Camden. Was nearly floored by the fact that the Guinness actually isn’t too bad in there at all ! Who said the stuff can’t travel ? They lie ! Was great to see so many heads out at it – hadn’t seen some of you in quite a while but fair play to you all for coming out and hanging around till the end. It ended up being a long night, and on a school night too. True dedication showed by one and all I think.
Friday was all about Venezuelan 100% cocoa dark chocolate.
I’ll let you know how it tastes…
