Limerick is a Lady. In this case, with a lottery ticket…

I was in Limerick the other day, doing a gig, as you do. My friend, Benoit, possessor of the most intriguing Belgio-Limerick accent on the planet runs a night called The Articulate Sessions.

Check it out all you Limerick heads. It was the day after the mighty Munster v. All Blacks rugby game, and there seemed to be even more red flags on the streets than there normally is. If you’ve never had a walk through Limerick city centre you’ll know that this would be quite an achievement – smothered in Munster flags the place is, not to mention being replete with the worst, cheesy advertising slogans trying way too hard to make a rugby linkage where none exists. I think the best I saw was, “Chungs for the Thai, Munster for the Try“.

It made my head hurt, that…

Anyhoos, advertising critiques aside, I was chatting to a few lovely people afterwards and one lady didn’t have enough cash on her to buy an album, but did have one of these…

I think I might frame this...

I’ve never accepted part-payment for an album with a Lottery Ticket before. It was kinda fun !

Got me to thinking though. This thing is called a “Winning Streak Dream Ticket”. Match 3 amounts and win that amount type stylee. What I want to know though, is what kind of dream they think you could lay your paws on for 6 yo yos ?

Apart from a Bill Coleman album that is… :)

Anyhoos ! More travelling for the rest of this week. Off I am to swinging London ! Woo !
